Kyra Minturn

 Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19, 1965. She is an American producer and actress. Her most prominent part is as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. The seventh season of the series ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick's performance as Madeline Wuntch in the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine is also noteworthy. Sedgwick was nominated to the Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are as well. Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and has said she participates in Passover seders.
